Transport to Camp
All participants will be transported to Dalmeny Estate by buses.
The Cubs and Beavers are sharing buses with other districts hence there are different venues for these buses.
Personal kit will be transported in the van supplied for the district (Luton van).
All bags will be tagged with brown/black tape for 172nd participants in order to identify the bags on the way back.
Campers
The campers will leave from Bookers Cash and Carry on Friday
25th at 6:30pm.
Please be at Bookers for 6pm to allow for loading of the van and bus.
Campers Return
Campers will leave Dalmeny on Sunday 27th at 4:30pm due for arrival at Bookers Cash and Carry at 5:30 pm.
Medical
forms
Medical forms must be brought to the camp for all participants.
These forms will be collected centrally at registration.
Birthday Gift
As we will all be attending a birthday party it seems right to bring a present.
Edinburgh
Scouts are working with Edinburgh Direct Aid (who run aid convoys to
the Balkans) to provide gifts for people in less fortunate areas of the
world.
Each member attending the camp is asked to bring one or more of the
items on the list below
- tube toothpaste, toothbrushes
- coloured pens or pencils
- wrapped soap, shampoo
- brush, comb, other hair care items
- sticking plaster, similar items
- notebooks/writing pads/envelopes
- gloves, hats, socks
- small toys/puzzles/games (avoid electrical, language dependent)
- small torch and batteries
- small child’s picture book; comic story book (chosen sensibly!)
- pens
- Addressed post card (e.g. Scottish/local theme) if reply would be welcomed.
- Cash donations are also welcomed
No Tuck Shop
There is no tuck shop at the camp therefore no one will require any money.
There will be plenty of juice/snack breaks during the day.
