Summer Camp Details – 29th July – 3rd August 2006

Here are the details of the sumer camp:

Leaders

  • Chris Welch/Colin Bone – Camp Leader(s)
  • Neill Sinclair – Catering
  • Kirsty Smith – First Aid
  • Robert Candy – Assistant Camp Leader

    Depart

    Meet at Juniper Green School Annex (next to the village hall) for 9:30 am on Saturday morning.

    Please bring along a packed lunch for the journey.

    If your son/daughter is on any medication please inform Kirsty Smith as soon as you arrive at the school.

    We will depart at approximately 10:00am.

    Uniform


    As with any scout/explorer activity you are expected to arrive in uniform. That includes shirt, neckerchief and woggle.

    Money

    If you wish to bring along some spending money I would suggest no more than £50.00.
    There will be opportunity to buy souvenirs etc. during the camp.
    If required we can look after spending money on behalf of your son/daughter.

    Return

    We will be leaving the camp site at approximately 2pm with an expected return of 5pm on Thursday evening.

    Camp Kit List

    You will require the following items of equipment:

    Rucksack or equivalent.

    Sleeping
    Sleeping Bag
    Roll Mat (Not essential),
    Pillow (Not Essential)

    Clothing.
    Jumpers,
    T-shirts,
    Shorts (we hope!),
    Trousers,
    Water Proof jacket,
    Warm Hat,
    Gloves,
    Summer Hat/Baseball Cap,
    Underwear,
    Socks (plenty),
    Trainers,
    Strong Boots/Shoes (Hiking boots preferable),
    Swimming Costume

    Wash Kit
    Towel,
    Soap,
    Toothbrush etc.

    Utensils
    Plate,
    Bowl,
    Cup,
    Cutlery

    Miscelaneous
    Water Bottle,
    Torch
    Day Sack

    Personal items
    You may bring personal items such as mobile phones, walkmans, game boys, cameras etc. but please bear in mind that these items are not covered by Scout insurance and are the owner’s responsibility.
